The Arkansas Water Resources Center (“AWRC”) has announced an Arkansas Water Webinar that will be held on September 18th titled:
Use of Historical and Current Collections to Assess the Distribution and Status of Fishes in Arkansas (“Webinar”).
The Webinar will be held from noon – 1:00 PM Central Time.
The speaker will be Dr. Ginny Adams, Professor and Environmental Science Program Director, Biology Department, University of Central Arkansas.
AWRC’s summary of the Webinar states in part:
…This multi-watershed synthesis of fish community trends across Arkansas highlights long-term biotic change spanning over five decades.
The Webinar will discuss fish sampling between 2016-2021 across various Arkansas watersheds and comparisons to historic fish collections, primarily from the 1960’s-1980’s. The results of such sampling will be discussed along with certain conclusions.
