The Beaver Watershed Alliance (“BWA”) announced it will be holding a webinar on riparian zones on Thursday, March 18th.
The webinar will be conducted by Nate Weston.
Mr. Weston is a Geospatial Ecologist at BWA.
The webinar will provide information regarding riparian zones such as:
- What they do
- How they can be protected
- Role in watershed protection
- Preventing contaminants from entering waterways
- Promoting wildlife
Additional topics will include:
- Types of riparian zones
- Common riparian features
- How to identify, establish, manage and maintain a riparian area
- How to stack a riparian area’s vegetation to increase durability/stormwater filtration capacity
The webinar will be held from 12:00-12:45 p.m.
