The Beaver Watershed Alliance announced an upcoming Riparian Restoration Workshop (“Workshop”) that will be held on October 24th.
The Workshop will be held at the Goshen Community Center in Goshen, Arkansas from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
The program is free.
Identified as key initiatives of the Workshop include:
- Plant identification
- Invasive removal
- Revegetation Techniques
Conservation professionals will provide information on how to:
…reduce streambank erosion, combat invasive species, and revegetate riparian areas in both indoor and outdoor classroom environments.
Attendees will receive a copy of:
Invasive Plants of NWA: A Field Management Guide.
Project partners also include:
- Watershed Conservation Resource Center
- Beaver Water District
- City of Goshen
The Workshop is stated to be part of the United States Environmental Protection Agency Section 319 grant in the Beaver Lake watershed administered by the Arkansas Department of Agriculture – Natural Resource Division.
