The CleanEnergy States Alliance hosted a webinar titled Hydropower and Renewable Portfolio Standards (“Presentation”) on February 2nd.
The speakers at the webinar included:
- David Zayas – National Hydropower Association
- Dana Hall – Low Impact Hydropower Institute
- Tim Welch – United States Department of Energy, Wind and Power Technologies Office
CSA describes itself as a national non-profit coalition of state and municipal clean energy funds working with federal, regional, industry, and other stakeholders to promote clean energy markets and technologies.
The topics addressed in the presentation included:
- Overview of the National Hydropower Association and Industry overview
- State RPS activity and Hydro eligibility requirements
- Hydro resource assessments & growth opportunities
- Clean Power Plan eligibility
- State initiatives advancing hydropower
