The Quapaw Quarter Association (“QQA”) announced the winners of its Greater Little Rock Preservation Awards at its November 4th Annual Membership Meeting.
The QQA describes its organization as a:
… non-profit dedicated to the preservation and revitalization of Greater Little Rock's historic places.
The following awards were announced:
- Richard C. Butler Awards of Merit
- The Brown House at 1624 W. 22nd Street
- Awarded to: Phyllis Brown, Owner
- The Ayers-Wood Cottage at 1406 S. Louisiana Street
- Awarded to: Charles and Karl Heinbockel, Owners
- The Flats @ SOMA at 300 E. Roosevelt Road
- Awarded to: Pace Burt and Rick Goddard, Owners.
- Carlos Woods, contractor.
- Bill Stovall with WSG Consulting, Dr. Antoinette Johnson of Johnson Consulting, and Mayor Frank Scott, Jr.
- Cromwell Court at 511 E. 7th St, 514 E. 8th St, 515 E. 8th St, 516 E. 8th St, & 518 E. 8th St.
- Awarded to: Jill Judy and Mark Brown, Downtown Dwellings, Owner.
- Lakresha Diaz, Tax credit consultant.
- Haley Shelton and Karen Ford, Downtown Dwelling staff.
- 1723 S. Dennison Street
- Awarded to: Paul Dodds, Urban Frontier, Owner.
- Alfonso Flores of Flores Remodeling, LLC
- 801 N. Monroe Street
- Awarded to: Kolleen and Justin Elbert, CJE Construction, Owners.
- 1420 Commerce Street
- Awarded to: Gabe Holmstrom, Owner.
- Lakresha Diaz, Tax credit consultant.
- Tanner Worley, Arium Development, LLC.
- 2025 Peg Smith Award for Outstanding Volunteer Leadership in Historic Preservation.
- Awarded to: Kate Schranz.
- Tom Wilkes Award for Exemplary Board Involvement.
- Awarded to: Dr. Ann Ballard Bryan.
- “Over her last 6 years as a member of the QQA’s Board of Directors, Dr. Ann Ballard Bryan has demonstrated extraordinary devotion, leadership and a tangible impact on historic preservation in greater Little Rock through her education, advocacy, and hands on restoration work.”
