The Arkansas Water Resources Center (“AWRC”) announced a presentation titled:
Engineering Biochar as a Tunable Platform for Micropollutant Removal: From Agricultural Waste to Water Treatment (“Presentation”).
The Presentation will be held on September 24th at 9 a.m. in the CSRC Room 122.
ARWC is located at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
The Presentation is stated to be open to all faculty, staff, students, and researchers. It will be undertaken by Dr. Sara Azerrad, who will highlight what is described as the:
… versatility of biochar as an engineerable platform that converts agricultural waste into value-added materials for sustainable water treatment.
The announcement further states that it will present:
… agricultural-residue-derived biochar as a tunable carbon platform that can be engineered to promote adsorption or combined adsorption–oxidation through persulfate activation for pharmaceuticals, antibiotics, disinfection by-products, and PFAS.
