City of Fayetteville (Arkansas) Mayor's Environmental Stewardship Award: 2025 Winners Announced

The City of Fayetteville, Arkansas issued an April 15th news release announcing the winners of the City of Fayetteville’s 2025 Mayor’s Environmental Stewardship Award.
The news release stated that the winners were to be recognized by Mayor Molly Rawn during the City’s Earth Day Celebration and citywide cleanup.
The announced winners include:
- Individual - Eric Fuselier (Project Scientist with Olsson Engineering whose achievements are stated to have included extensive environmental education and outreach, leading native plant hikes and wetland ecology tours and a wide variety of stewardship programs with City and nonprofit partners).
- Community Initiative - New Beginnings Green Team (described as a bridge housing community that provides a safe, dignified community where people experiencing chronic homelessness receive support to move into permanent homes and is committed to environmental sustainability through innovative programs that reduce waste, promote local food production and engage community residents in hands-on environmental efforts).
- Nonprofit - Beaver Watershed Alliance (preparing for the projected 2050 milestone of one million Northwest Arkansas residents by developing an ongoing series of Smart Growth for Water Resources conferences dedicated to addressing the challenges of natural resources and growth).
This most recent set of awards is stated to be the fifth year that they have been awarded.
The awards are described as recognizing excellence in environmental stewardship demonstrated through sustainable practices, programs or projects undertaken by Fayetteville community members, nonprofits, businesses, and educators.
