The Association of Air Pollution Control Agencies (“AAPCA”) elected its 2017 officers.
Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality Associate Director, Office of Air Quality, Stuart Spencer was elected Vice President of the organization.
Elections were held at the organization’s Fall Business Meeting in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Mr. Spencer is quoted in an AAPCA news release as stating:
I am very excited to have been selected by my peers to serve as Vice President of AAPCA. The Association brings together experienced regulators from across the country to exchange innovations and success stories in air pollution control.
AAPCA characterizes itself as a national, non-profit, consensus-driven organization focused on assisting state and local air quality agencies and personnel with implementation and technical issues associated with the federal Clean Air Act. Twenty state environmental agencies are stated to currently sit on the organizations’ Board of Directors.
Ms. Vivian Aucoin, of the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality from the neighboring State of Louisiana was elected Secretary/Treasurer.
