The Beaver Water District (“BWD”) announced the promotion of Mindi Dearing to Compliance Manager.
The position of Compliance Manager is described as leading the organization’s newly created Compliance Department.
Ms. Dearing formerly served as BWD’s Laboratory Supervisor. She served in that position for over 10 years.
The BWD publication The Source describes the Compliance Manager’s position as supervising the:
. . . research, analysis, and evaluation of regulatory activities that impact the drinking water industry and ensure the District is in compliance with federal, state, and local entities.
The position also involves assistance with “developing, communicating, executing, and sustaining the strategic initiatives of the District.”
Ms. Dearing received a Bachelor of Science degree in biological science from Oklahoma State University. Also, she received a Master’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in Strategic Communications from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She formerly served in the Oklahoma City Water and Wastewater Utilities department as an Environmental Chemist.
The Source describes Ms. Dearing’s additional activities as including:
- American Water Works Association member
- Southwest American Water Works Association
- Class IV Water Treatment Operator
- Class IV Water Distribution Operator license
BWD supplies drinking water to Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers and Bentonville.
