The Arkansas State Marketing Board for Recyclables and Compliance Advisory Panel (“Board”) is scheduled to meet on June 19th.
The Arkansas Department of Energy and Environment – Division of Environmental Quality (“DEQ”) states that members may join the meeting via the virtual platform Microsoft Teams.
The Board meets quarterly and consists of five members who are appointed by the Governor. Its duties include advising and assisting DEQ with:
…finding and maintaining markets for recyclable materials in Arkansas.
The Compliance Advisory Panel is described as a federal program established to help businesses with their air permits.
Agenda items are stated to include:
- Approving minutes from the November 2024 and March 2025 meetings.
- Discussing upcoming changes to the board for the 2026 fiscal year.
- Representatives from various DEQ offices will provide updates.
DEQ states that the public is encouraged to attend the quarterly Board Meeting. Those interested in attending the meeting are required to register by emailing Vanessa Kohrs at vanessa.kohrs@arkansas.gov by 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2025.
