The Arkansas Department of Energy and Environment announced the agenda for the Arkansas Pollution Control and Ecology Commission (“Commission”) meeting on March 27th.
The Commission is the environmental policy-making body for Arkansas.
The Commission, with certain exceptions, meets on a monthly basis. It issued a notice stating:
The Arkansas Pollution Control and Ecology Commission (PC&EC) will meet Friday, March 27, 2026, at 10 a.m. in the Commission Room at the Arkansas Department of Energy and Environment headquarters, located at 5301 Northshore Drive, North Little Rock, Ark.
The PC&EC meeting agenda includes a report from the Division of Environmental Quality’s Chief Administrator of Environment, Bailey Taylor; a request to vote on proposed amendments to 8 CAR § 60-1304, the “Landfill post-closure cleanup restrictions” wherein the amount of expenditure requiring PC&EC approval was raised from $50,000 to $2,000,000 consistent with the passage of Act 791 of 2025; and a request to vote on a recommended decision issued In the Matter of City of Decatur; Docket No. 25-001-P.
