Government Solutions, LLC (“GS”) announced that Michael Grappe’ has joined the Arkansas government relations firm as an Associate.
GS notes that Mr. Grappe’ previously served with the Arkansas Department of Energy and Environment – Division of Environmental Quality (“ADEQ”) for several years in functions such as:
- Solid waste director
- Governmental liaison
The GS news release notes in part:
… During his tenure with the Arkansas Department of Energy and Environment, Michael worked with the private and municipal sectors in addressing Air, Water, Land and Energy issues, including permitting and compliance. His primary role was communicating with the legislative body on public policy issues and assisting in resolving constituent concerns.
GS describes the organization as a full-service, lobbying, and government relations firm. Randy Thurman and Courtney Sheppard have staffed the organization for many years. According to GS, Courtney Sheppard has changed his role from Partner to serving as a Senior Advisor Emeritus for the firm.
Randy Thurman is a six-year veteran of the Arkansas House of Representatives before becoming Executive Director for the Arkansas Environmental Federation, for which he was affiliated until 2013. He is a former president of the Arkansas Society of Association Executives and the Arkansas Society of Professional Lobbyists.
