Arkansas Environmental Personnel Moves: Marson Nance Named Northwest Arkansas Land Trust Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director

The Northwest Arkansas Land Trust (“NWALT”) announced that Marson Nance has been named the organization’s next Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director.
Mr. Nance joined NWALT in 2018.
Positions held at NWALT since joining the organization include:
- Director of Land Protection.
- Director of Land Stewardship.
- Director of Philanthropy.
Accomplishments listed include:
- Helped conserve more than 3,000 acres across Northwest Arkansas.
- Led efforts to open four NWALT preserves (including Wilson Springs Preserve, the organization’s first public nature preserve).
- Helped secure critical funding for conservation projects throughout the region.
Mr. Nance succeeds Grady Spann, whose tenure is stated to have helped permanently protect 3,300 acres across 23 properties.
NWALT describes its mission as to:
… Preserve and enhance the quality of life for all people in Northwest Arkansas through permanent protection of land.
