The Arkansas Environmental Federation (“AEF”) has named Ava Franks Roberts as its new Executive Director.
Ms. Roberts is replacing Charles Miller in October.
AEF describes itself as a:
. . . nonprofit association with over 200 members, primarily Arkansas businesses and industries that manufacture products, provide services, and employ skilled workers in Arkansas while also ensuring that their operations comply with all federal and state environmental, safety, and health regulations.
Ms. Roberts currently serves as Vice President and Director of Government Relations for the Arkansas Bankers Association.
Ms. Roberts previously served as both Associate Counsel and Senior Market Conduct Examiner of the Arkansas Insurance Department. Prior to that she was Deputy Director of Finance of the Mike Beebe for Governor Campaign.
Ms. Roberts graduated with a B.A. in English from Southern Methodist University and received her law degree from the William H. Bowen School of Law in Little Rock. She served as a law clerk for the Mitchell Williams Law Firm during law school.
