The United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration (“OSHA”) has cited Lineage Logistics, LLC (“LL”) for nine alleged violations.
LL is stated to be a warehousing and logistics company located in McAllen, Texas.
OSHA states that it initiated an October 2015 inspection following a report of an ammonia release at LL.
The agency cited the company for nine serious violations. The nine alleged violations include:
- Six involving process safety management standards
- Two for not fit testing or providing a medical evaluation of employees before they could wear respirators
- One for not having a functioning emergency safety eye wash station
OSHA’s proposed civil penalties total $58,000.
LL has 15 days from receipt of the citations to comply, request an informal conference with OSHA’s Area Director or contest the citations and penalties before the independent Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission.
