The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (“ACEEE”) announced in an August 24th news release its 2022 Champions of Energy Efficiency in Buildings.
Mr. Wally Nixon, who serves as a Chief Counsel for the Arkansas Public Service Commission, received the award in the Energy Policy category.
The news release states in reference to Mr. Nixon that he received the award:
. . . For his years of sustained work as a visionary and connector at the forefront of energy policy, leading Arkansas to its position as a leader for energy efficiency in the Southeast and a national model for innovative utility policies and programs.
The other 2022 winners and their categories included:
- Reid Hart, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (Research and Development)
- Bing Liu, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (Implementation and Deployment)
- Clay Nesler, The Nesler Group (Lifetime Achievement)
- Lauren Salz, Sealed (Young Professional)
ACEEE describes itself as:
. . . a nonprofit research organization, develops policies to reduce energy waste and combat climate change. Its independent analysis advances investments, programs, and behaviors that use energy more effectively and help build an equitable clean energy future.
