The National Association of Clean Water Agencies (“NACWA”) recently named their 2026 “National Environmental Achievement Award Honorees”.
NACWA describes the awards as recognizing individuals and NACWA member agencies that have made outstanding contributions to environmental protection and the clean water community.
The Little Rock, Arkansas Water Reclamation Authority (“LRWRA”) was recognized for two awards.
In the category of OPERATIONS & ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE, it was recognized for its Sewer Service Line Replacement Program. Further, LRWRA was recognized in the PUBLIC INFORMATION & EDUCATION: EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM category for its JoJo the Water Hero program.
NACWA describes itself as representing public wastewater and stormwater agencies of all sizes nationwide. It further describes itself as the nation’s recognized leader in legislative, regulatory, and legal advocacy on the full spectrum of clean water issues, as well as a top technical source for water management, sustainability, and ecosystem protection interest.
LRWRA serves as the sanitary sewer service provider for the City of Little Rock. Its process serves over 70,500 homes and businesses through 1,400 miles of public sewers. The utility operates three treatment facilities.
