The Illinois River Watershed Partnership (“IRWP”) noted in its Winter Newsletter that it has been awarded the 2025 Leadership in Environmental Education Award by the Arkansas Environmental Federation.
The award is described as an honor given to:
… businesses and organizations that have delivered outstanding environmental education in Arkansas.
IRWP is stated to have been recognized for its:
… commitment to hands-on watershed education for students, public and private stakeholders, and others.
The award is stated to celebrate IRWP’s 20 years of delivering high-quality watershed education to protect water quality in the Illinois River Watershed.
The IRWP describes its mission as working to improve the integrity of the Illinois River Watershed through public education, outreach, and implementation of conservation and restoration practices throughout the Watershed.
