Mitchell Williams Elects Attorneys Nathan Read and Zachary Steadman to Firm's Board of Directors

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C. has elected Attorneys Nathan “Nate” Read and Zachary Steadman to the firm’s Board of Directors effective Jan. 1, 2026. Read and Steadman join fellow board members Burnie Burner, Benjamin Jackson, Nikki Lovell and Scott Schallhorn, along with Managing Director Derrick Smith, to set the firm’s strategic direction, provide operational guidance and oversight, and establish and adopt policies. 

Read is an accomplished employment attorney with substantial experience guiding employers through the intricacies of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations. Committed to helping clients cultivate compliant and positive workplace environments, he provides strategic counsel across a comprehensive array of employment law and regulatory matters. His experience encompasses assisting clients with responding to inquiries and investigations by state and federal regulatory agencies and representing them in contested matters. Read previously served as the firm’s Litigation practice group chair from 2020 to 2025

Steadman represents insurance carriers and health care providers in regulatory matters pertaining to federal and state regulation. He also provides regulatory counsel on issues of information management and security compliance and advises clients on security policies and procedures, record retention policies, HIPAA compliance and planning for and responding to data breaches. He previously served as chair of the Regulated Business practice group for five years and is a graduate of Leadership Greater Little Rock Class XXVI.
