LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Mitchell Williams Attorney Morril Harriman was honored today at the Arkansas Advocates for Children & Families (AACF) Annual Luncheon. This award is reserved for outstanding advocates and their important work on behalf of the state’s children to ensure that kids have the resources and opportunities they need to be healthy and successful.

“In many ways, the current crisis highlights the importance of our commitment to racial equity and our belief that all Arkansans deserve to lead healthy and successful lives,” said AACF Executive Director Rich Huddleston. “All children and families in Arkansas should have access to health care, quality education, paid sick leave and economic security, before, during and after the current pandemic. The health and economic crises we face mean we must work even harder to ensure that is possible.”

Harriman focuses his practice on government relations. He advises clients in their dealings with the Arkansas Legislature, legislative committees, state regulatory agencies and other governmental bodies. Harriman has decades of experience in public service having served for 16 years in the Arkansas State Senate and eight years as Chief of Staff for Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe. He served for six years as president of The Poultry Federation, a multi-state trade association. In addition, he has 25 years of experience in private law practice.
