Mitchell Williams Welcomes Shealyn Sowers as Marketing Director

(LITTLE ROCK, Ark.) Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C. welcomes Shealyn Sowers to the firm as marketing director. Based in the Little Rock office, Sowers will lead the firm’s marketing, communications, and public relations efforts, working with attorneys, practice group leaders, and firm leadership to strengthen brand visibility, support business development, and advance strategic growth initiatives.
Sowers brings more than 14 years of experience in journalism, strategic communications, public relations, and marketing. Most recently, she served as account supervisor at Ghidotti Communications, where she oversaw campaign strategy and execution for clients, and helped lead the agency’s media relations team. She previously served as communications director and spokesperson for former Gov. Asa Hutchinson and held senior communications roles with the Arkansas Department of Agriculture and the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism. Sowers worked in television news at KARK and FOX16 in Little Rock for 10 years. During her time in broadcast journalism, she earned multiple honors, including an Emmy Award for Best Producer, an Emmy Award for Best Newscast, and an Edward R. Murrow Award for Outstanding Journalism.

A native of Clinton, Arkansas, Sowers earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ouachita Baptist University and a broadcast journalism degree from the University of Central Arkansas. She serves as vice president of the Arkansas chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, on the Downtown Little Rock Partnership Board of Directors, and on the Clinton High School Alumni Association, and is an alumna of Leadership Arkansas, a program of the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce.
