Mitchell Williams Selects Area Food Banks as 2016 Take Time to Give Recipients

Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C. announced today that hunger relief will be the firm’s philanthropic focus for 2016 through the firm’s Take Time to Give program. The organizations receiving support are Arkansas Food Bank, Northwest Arkansas Food Bank, Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas and Capital Area Food Bank of Texas.

One in every seven people in the United States has received assistance from a food bank. Arkansas has the second highest rate of food insecurity in the country, with Texas having the fifth. Mitchell Williams is supporting food banks in Jonesboro, Northwest Arkansas, Pulaski County and Travis County, Texas, where the firm has offices.

Through the annual Take Time to Give charitable giving program, Mitchell Williams’ Board of Directors annually selects a group of non-profit organizations to support financially with a $50,000 donation, as well as with pro bono services and volunteer hours. In addition to the primary charity, the firm also supports over 100 charitable and community organizations throughout the year through sponsorships, financial contributions, leadership and volunteer service.
