Hendrix Community Shapes Brad Moore's Journey to Mitchell Williams
October 07, 2026
Brad Moore’s Hendrix College experience helped shape both his professional path and the relationships that continue to influence his life today.
As a Hendrix student, Brad was introduced to the legal profession through fellow Hendrix alumnus and Mitchell Williams Managing Partner Derrick Smith. After hearing Derrick speak on campus about law school and his own career, Brad was struck by his approachability and enthusiasm. That interaction planted a seed that would ultimately lead Brad to pursue a career in law and, years later, become part of the Mitchell Williams community himself.
Hendrix also played an important role in Brad’s personal life. It was where he met his wife, Michelle. What began with a chance encounter during student orientation grew into a lifelong relationship.
When Brad reflects on his time at Hendrix, he points to the strength of the college’s community as one of its most significant influences. The relationships he developed with classmates, faculty, coaches, and alumni provided a foundation for his personal and professional development and demonstrated the value of a community invested in the success of its members.
That perspective continues to inform Brad’s experience at Mitchell Williams, where relationships, collaboration and a commitment to community are central to the firm’s culture. His journey from Hendrix to Mitchell Williams illustrates the lasting impact of a strong community, and the important role that mentorship and meaningful connections can play in shaping a career.
