LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C. announces the addition of three recent law school graduates who joined the firm as associates. Alexis Jones and Clifford McLeod have joined the firm in Little Rock, while Madeline McCulloch has joined the firm in Rogers.

She joins the firm’s litigation practice, where she will support the representation of clients in a broad array of litigation matters, including employment and labor.
While in law school, Jones gained practical experience as a legal extern with a Fortune 1 company and as a law clerk in law firms. Her clerkships provided hands-on opportunities to conduct legal research, draft memorandums and analyze complex regulatory issues. Jones was a quarterfinalist in her law school’s Negotiation Competition, demonstrating strong advocacy and problem-solving abilities. She is committed to leveraging her skills to support the clients of Mitchell Williams.
McLeod, who earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from UA Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law in May 2025, and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with Honors, cum laude, from Philander Smith College in May 2015, joins the firm’s business and corporate law practice. He will focus on municipal and public finance law.
While in law school, McLeod served as an extended law clerk at Mitchell Williams, gaining valuable hands-on experience and developing the legal skills necessary for effective client advocacy. Prior to pursuing his legal career, McLeod worked as a high school social studies teacher and soccer coach, a background which cultivated strong collaboration, communication and leadership abilities. These skills have enabled him to work seamlessly with clients, colleagues and stakeholders. McLeod’s unique perspective and dedication make him a trusted resource for clients who are navigating public finance and business matters.
McCulloch, who joins the firm in Rogers, concentrates her legal practice on litigation, providing comprehensive support in client representation across a wide spectrum of disputes. She earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Arkansas School of Law in May 2025 and her Bachelor of Arts in Communication, summa cum laude, from the University of Arkansas Fulbright College in 2022.
McCulloch brings practical experience from her clerkships, which have equipped her with a robust foundation in legal analysis and trial preparation. During law school, she exemplified leadership as Chair of the Board of Advocates, managing advocacy competition operations and strengthening relationships with alumni.
Mitchell Williams has a history of hiring new associates who have demonstrated commitment to both academic excellence and practical skill development. While Jones, McLeod and McCulloch are recent graduates, each brings valuable hands-on experience from externships, clerkships and leadership roles in law school. Their addition reflects the firm’s ongoing investment in developing new talent and providing extraordinary service to clients across Arkansas and nationally.
