Professional Experience

Provides legal advice on insurance-related corporate and regulatory matters nationwide. Counsels insurance companies on compliance issues, mergers and acquisitions, redomestications, restructurings and holding company act filings, reinsurance transactions and product development. Represents insurance companies, brokerage firms, agencies and agents before state and federal regulators in financial and market conduct examinations, compliance investigations, state admissions, product filings and licensing. Prepares and coordinates legislation for insurance companies, health maintenance organizations, trade associations and businesses before state legislatures. Advises insurance companies and trade associations concerning activities of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and the National Conference of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL).
