Discussing How to Avoid Liability in the Workplace

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Attorneys Katie Branscum and Matt Brunson presented at the firm’s Peer Speaker Series, a night of networking alongside discussions on the basics of legal knowledge. Their presentation, “Risky Business: Do’s and Don’ts to Avoid Liability”, delved into the basics of how employees can protect themselves and their employers from liability.
Branscum’s practice is primarily focused on securities law, mergers and acquisitions, contract drafting, real estate transactions, commercial transactions and corporate law. She graduated cum laude from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law, where she served as Associate Notes Editor on the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Law Review.
Brunson has experience in defending clients in civil litigation, guiding creditors in judicial and non-judicial foreclosure proceedings as well as debt collection and representing landlords in landlord-tenant lease disputes. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law, where he served as editor of the Law Review. Prior to attending law school, Brunson worked as a financial analyst at Trent Capital Management.
