Mitchell Williams Attorney Trav Baxter Presents at Arkansas Rice Annual Meeting

Discusses Succession Planning for Family Farms

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Attorney Trav Baxter presented today at the Arkansas Rice Annual Meeting, a joint meeting of the Arkansas Rice Council and Arkansas Rice Farmers.Baxter’s presentation, titled “Your Farm’s Future,” discussed the steps of succession planning to have a well-established and successful farming operation for future generations. 

Baxter, a tax attorney with a family background in agriculture, focuses his law practice on counseling individuals and business entities in matters of tax advice; formation and operation of business entities; farm succession and estate planning; trusts and estates; administration of trusts and estates; and trusts for land and property management.

The Arkansas Rice Annual Meeting is the largest gathering of rice farmers and industry representatives from the Arkansas River Valley to the Mississippi Delta and Louisiana to Missouri. Farmers and industry experts came together to discuss the Farm Bill, upcoming legislative session, estate planning and more.
