LITTLE ROCK & ROGERS, Ark. — Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C. announces the addition of three attorneys. Peyton Hildebrand has joined the office in Rogers, while Savannah Johnston and Austin Reed have joined the office in Little Rock.
Hildebrand focuses her practice on litigation matters and has experience researching insurance coverage disputes, employment discrimination claims and expert witness admissibility in federal court. As a member of the litigation team, she also researches complex issues that arise during the course of litigation at both the trial and appellate level. Prior to joining the firm, Hildebrand was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Lavenski R. Smith, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, where she reviewed appellate briefs, researched applicable law and drafted memoranda on issues of federal and state law.
Hildebrand earned her Juris Doctor, graduating summa cum laude, from the University of Arkansas School of Law. She also received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Sociology from the University of Arkansas. She is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association and was the Research Editor for the University of Arkansas Law Review.
Johnston focuses her practice on insurance regulatory matters. She assists with regulatory filings and compliance issues involving state insurance departments and state securities departments. She also researches and reviews state legislation and regulation to assess the impact on the business of insurance. Johnston earned a certificate of completion in the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) Core Legal course. While in law school, she gained experience working with government agencies and associations, taking on comprehensive research projects geared towards influencing future legislation.
Johnston earned her Juris Doctor, graduating magna cum laude, from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Arkansas Tech University, where she also earned her Associate in Science in Criminal Justice. Johnston is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association and Pulaski County Bar Association.
Reed focuses his practice on commercial litigation, secured transactions, contract disputes, real estate disputes and general civil litigation. He also assists in medical malpractice defense matters, and he advises clients with regard to agricultural and recreational land use disputes.
Reed graduated summa cum laude from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law. While earning his Juris Doctor, Reed was a teaching assistant in Research, Writing and Analysis I and II and served as an articles editor for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Law Review.
