Austin, Tx. – Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C. announced Attorney Lana Freeman has been elected member of the firm.
Freeman advises clients on insurance regulatory matters, including all aspects of licensing, holding company transactions, product development, and form/rate filing. She represents clients before state regulators and provides counseling to regulated entities on complex transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, conversions, corporate reorganizations, re-domestications, and expansions. As a former General Counsel for the Texas Senate Committee on State Affairs, she was responsible for policy issues on matters affecting regulated entities and she uses this experience to serve her clients.
Freeman earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law with honors. She is a member of the Austin Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, Austin Young Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association. She volunteers her time with Ronald McDonald House Charities, and is a member of the Friends of the House.
