The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (“ADEQ”), Arkansas Public Service Commission and Arkansas Economic Development Commission has scheduled an October 9th meeting with stakeholders to discuss the final rules for the Clean Air Act New Source Performance Standards for new power plants and CO2 emission standards for existing power plants.
ADEQ states that the meeting will discuss the final CO2 standards for existing power plants, study the efficacy and economic impacts of potential carbon reduction measures from the power sector, and develop a state strategy for Arkansas.
