Congresswoman Pingree of Maine introduced H.R. 4184 – the Food Recovery Act of 2015 (“Bill”) on December 7th.
The Bill has initially been referred to the U.S. House of Representatives (“House”) Committee on Agriculture.
The focus of the Bill is to decrease the amount of food waste.
The Bill is divided into four titles which focus on:
- Farms
- Retail and Restaurants
- Schools and other Institutions
- Consumers and Local Infrastructure
