The Solid Waste Association of North America and NGVAmerica (“collectively SWANA”) issued a June 7th joint news release noting their development of a:
. . . new Safety and Best Practices Guide for fueling and maintaining natural gas powered refuse trucks.
SWANA states that the document will provide the “latest information” used by fleets for safely operating collection and transfer vehicles that run on “clean-burning and affordable natural gas”.
The Solid Waste Association of North America includes over 8,300 public and private sector professionals involved in solid waste and resource management. NVGAmerica is a trade association focused on developing a market for vehicles power by natural gas or biomethane.
The news release quotes NVAmerica’s president as stating the refuse segment is a strong growth driver in regards to United States natural gas vehicles.
