LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (June 14, 2010) – Attorney Brian A. Vandiver of Mitchell, Williams, Selig, Gates & Woodyard, P.L.L.C., one of the state’s largest law firms, has been selected for inclusion in the 2010 “Forty Under Forty” class by Arkansas Business. The labor and employment litigator will be featured in the June 14 issue of the publication.
According to Arkansas Business, honorees are selected based on their impact to the firm and community, and for the potential they show to be a leader in business or politics during the next decade.

In addition, his state court litigation experience includes breach of employment and non-compete agreements, trade secrets misappropriation, negligent hiring and retention, and other state common law claims against employers. He routinely advises and trains management in all areas of employment law and human resources.
Outside of the office, Vandiver serves as an adjunct faculty member for the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law where he has been teaching since 2003. Some of his most notable community efforts include his role in coaching and mentoring students for both the Central High School Mock Trial Team and UALR School of Law Moot Court. He is also the current vice-chair of the board of directors for the Special Olympics of Arkansas where he has served as a board member since 2006.
Vandiver is listed in Best Lawyers in America for Labor and Employment Law (2008 – present); Mid-South Super Lawyers for Labor and Employment Law, and was also named a “Rising Star” by the publication for 2009. He is a member of both the American and Arkansas Bar Associations where he participates in leadership and committee roles, the United States Commission on Civil Rights (Arkansas State Advisory Committee), Defense Research Institute, The Federalist Society, The Christian Legal Society, Society for Human Resource Management, Central Arkansas Human Resource Association, West Central Arkansas SHRM, North Central Arkansas SHRM, Human Resource Management Association of Arkansas, and Judge Henry Woods Inn of Court.
