The Mississippi Recycling Coalition (“MRC”) is hosting what is characterized as Mississippi’s largest annual recycling meeting at the Beau-Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi.
The conference will be held on November 1st and 2nd.
The conference is stated to draw representatives from local governments, state and federal agencies, universities and colleges, businesses and non-profit organizations as well as recycling and solid waste professionals.
Conference topics will include:
- Why Measurement Matters
- Expanding Community Recycling Efforts
- Updates from the Southeastern Recycling Development Council and United States Environmental Protection Agency Region 4
- Special Materials Recycling
- Public Outreach in Education
- Institutional Recycling
- Organics Recycling
The MRC is also offering a pre-conference Material Recovery Workshop which will be held the morning of November 1st. The pre-conference workshop will be led by the Recycling Partnership on “Addressing Contamination in Your Recycling Stream”.
