More than 11 years of paralegal experience in the area of corporate law. Responsibilities included preparing for Board of Directors and Shareholder meetings; preparing and submitting various SEC and NYSE required filings; assisting with formation, management, statutory qualification and compliance, trade name filings, and liaising with state agencies for more than 160 subsidiary business entities; maintaining corporate organizational charts, database, and minute books; performing legal research as needed; serving as primary non-attorney contact for registered agent for service; acting as primary liaison with LexisNexis legal research company; preparing weekly status reports for General Counsel and legal team; filing trademark requests and maintaining a database of trademarks and registration information; working with outside counsel in compiling responses to discovery, submitting invoices for payment, and tracking litigation expenses. More than 13 years of legal secretarial experience in various areas, including Corporate, Utilities, Insurance Regulatory, Litigation, Personal Injury, Bankruptcy, Social Security and Domestic Relations. Previous experience included working with upper level management as administrative assistant for 10 years in the field of higher education and 7 years in a service-oriented organization, and 2 years as an underwriter for a life insurance company.
