Professional Experience

Ms. Freeman was a long-time litigation partner with one of the country’s largest national and international law firms.  She also served as Assistant General Counsel for the Houston Rockets, Houston Comets, and Toyota Center. 

Her primary practice includes handling significant commercial litigation matters. She recently assisted in successfully defending a major banking institution in a “lender-liability” action brought by a prominent Northwest Arkansas developer who alleged damages in excess of $50 million dollars.  In that case, she also handled the briefing in the Arkansas Supreme Court,  which will consider several significant state law issues.  Ms. Freeman has also recently handled a successful appeal to the Arkansas Supreme Court in a case of first impression, which affected the entire mortgage registration industry. 

Ms. Freeman’s experience with business disputes also includes claims of patent infringement, breach of contract, fraud, tortious interference with contract and deceptive trade practices as well as products liability and environmental litigation, including class actions and mass, consolidated claims of thousands of plaintiffs.  Ms. Freeman recently successfully defended an international group of energy and petrochemical companies in a commercial litigation matter involving damage allegations in excess of $10 million. 

Ms. Freeman also has extensive experience in handling a wide variety of complex, multiparty disputes.  She has tried cases in Texas state courts and argued before Texas appellate courts.  She has handled disputes around the country in federal and state courts in Arkansas, Texas, New York, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
