Professional Experience

• Obtained defense verdict following two-week jury trial in Garland County, Arkansas in a nursing home negligence case in which plaintiff alleged dehydration, broken leg and pressure sore were the result of poor care and understaffing and asked the jury for a multiple million dollar award.
• Obtained defense verdict following two-week jury trial in Pulaski County, Arkansas in a ‘bet-the-home’ nursing home negligence case where plaintiff alleged that six Stage IV pressure sores were the result of poor care and corporate greed.
• Successfully defended and prevented class certification in several cases against long-term care providers in Arkansas where plaintiff alleged class action status under theories of resident’s rights and breach of contract. Served as regional counsel for one of the largest long-term care operators in the United States in litigation related to allegations of nursing home negligence.
• Along with fellow member Stuart Miller, serves as statewide counsel for defense of trucking/transportation claims for one of world’s largest retailers.
  Successfully defended numerous claims of pharmacy malpractice against pharmacy consultants and retail pharmacists.
• Serves as counsel for central Arkansas insurance company handling matters related to claims against policy holders, policy disputes, bad faith claims, etc.
