An Industrial Energy Efficiency Workshop (“Workshop”) is scheduled in Jackson, Mississippi for August 31st.
The Workshop is being held by the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (“MDEQ”) in partnership with innovateMEP-Mississippi and the Mississippi Manufacturers Association.
MDEQ states that the Workshop is designed to provide attendees the knowledge to:
(1.) Evaluate their energy consumption patterns
(2.) Seek opportunities for increasing the efficiency of their operations
Target sectors for the workshop include:
- Industrial manufacturers
- Food processors
The topics covered will include:
- Building a culture of energy efficiency
- Major components covered:
- Lighting systems
- Chiller optimization
- Variable frequency drives
- Compressed air leaks
Possible attendees are suggested to include:
- Plant managers
- Operations managers
- Facilities managers
- Energy efficiency professionals
- Business and policy decision makers
Instructors for the program include:
- Sumesh Arora, Ph.D.
- Wally Majors, CEM, CEA
- Brett Rasmussen, PE, CEM
The cost of the program is $25 (lunch included).
