Mitchell Williams has a wealth of experience in environmental law focusing on assisting clients with understanding, identifying, and resolving potential and current environmental issues. Our team’s litigation, transactional, regulatory and legislative experience encompass all of the major environmental arenas including: water pollution, air pollution, asbestos, hazardous waste, oil and gas exploration and production waste, pesticides, petroleum marketing, solid waste, superfund, toxic tort litigation, underground storage tank programs and recycling.
Practice team members are regularly involved in the negotiation of permits and compliance issues with local, state and federal regulatory agencies and in counseling clients on a variety of environmental matters. Our attorneys also provide counsel on rulemaking and legislative matters, assist clients in the environmental aspects of transactions, administrative and litigation proceedings, due diligence investigations, permitting, remediation projects, local and state land use matters and employer/employee safety issues.
Several of the team’s attorneys have published articles on environmental, natural resource and energy issues in over 30 states and in national legal and trade association journals. They also have a regular presence in the environmental law category of the publication Best Lawyers in America, and a member of our environmental practice group was named the Top Environmental Lawyer in the State of Arkansas by the Arkansas Times in its survey of the Arkansas Bar Association membership.
