As previously noted, the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (“ADEQ”) will hold a Clean Power Plan stakeholder meeting on January 5th at the Midcontinent Independent System Operator – South Operations Center at 1700 Center View Drive in Little Rock, Arkansas. http://www.mitchellwilliamslaw.com/clean-power-plan-arkansas-department-of-environmental-quality-reminder-regarding-january-5th-stakeholder-meeting.
The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m.
ADEQ has circulated an agenda for the meeting which will include the following substantive topics:
- Progress on comments development and introduction of speaker – Stuart Spencer, Associate Director, Office of Air Equality, ADEQ
- Overview of key choices in the federal plan/model rules – Sarah Adair, Senior Policy Associate, Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions, Duke University
- Roundup of key takeaways from series of comments development calls – Tricia Jackson, State Implementation Planning Supervisor, ADEQ
- Working draft comment issues/concepts – Tricia Jackson, State Implementation Planning Supervisor, ADEQ
- Next steps – Eddy Moore, Administrative Law Judge, Arkansas Public Service Commission/Stuart Spencer, ADEQ
