The Beaver Watershed Alliance (“BWA”) announced the scheduling of a program titled Source Water Stewardship(“Program”) that will be held as part of the Beaver Lake Water Symposium.
The Program will be held on September 29th in Lowell, Arkansas.
BWA states that the Program is designed to present participants with information regarding emerging issues such as:
- Harmful algal blooms in Beaver Lake
- Long term water quality trends in the White River
BWA indicates the discussion will also address “management considerations and actions” which include:
- The United States Army Corps of Engineering Master Plan and Shoreline Management Plan
- Open Space Planning for Benton and Washington County
- Regional Sourcewater Protection Funding
- The LandWise Initiative
- Regional Conservation Partnership Program – West Fork White River Watershed Restoration Initiative
The Program is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and will be held at the Northwest Arkansas Realty Board Facility located at 314 N. Goad Springs Road.
