HalfMoon Education, Inc. is holding a seminar titled Arkansas Water Laws and Regulations (“Seminar”) in Little Rock, Arkansas on December 18th.
The Seminar will focus on current issues such as:
- Water rights
- Water use trends
- Water availability
- The Arkansas Water Plan (including proposed changes)
The specific topics that will be addressed by the speakers include:
- Law of Arkansas Surface and Groundwater Rights
- State and Regional Water Management and Planning
- Water Development Projects
- Transfer/Sale of Water
- Efforts to Improve Municipal Water Use Practices
- Complying with Water Quality Laws and Regulations
The speakers will include Ed Swaim – Water Resources Chief of the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission and Doug Ford - a civil engineer with Pollution Management, Inc.
I will also be participating and focusing on a number of federal and state issues/programs that impact water development projects.
