Ms. Stephanie Purifoy was recently named Development Manager of Audubon Arkansas.
Audubon Arkansas was established in 2000 and is the 25th state office of the National Audubon Society.
Audubon Arkansas states as its mission:
… to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of humanity and the earth’s biological diversity.
The organization states it is engaged in:
- Restoration and protection of watersheds and other habitats important to birds and other wildlife
- Citizen involvement in science and habitat protection
- Environmental education of young people
- Public outreach and education related to targeted policy and issues including global warming and water issues
The organization has eight staff members and is based in Little Rock,
Ms. Purifoy previously worked in development for the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance where she was active in fundraising efforts for that organization. She also has over a decade of experience in marketing/sales in the office technology area.
Ms. Purifoy graduated in 1984 from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (marketing emphasis).
