Ms. Tammera (Tammy) Harrelson has been named a Senior Assistant Attorney General in the Arkansas Attorney General’s Office .
Tammy is currently the Senior Associate Director of the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (“ADEQ”) Office of Land Resources.
I understand Tammy will be a Supervisor in the Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. She will also have her own caseload prosecuting Medicaid fraud, long-term care facility abuse/neglect, civil false claims actions and nursing home violations.
Prior to her ADEQ tenure, Tammy had 20 years of trial experience working in both a private law practice and the Sixth Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
Tammy’s work at ADEQ also included serving as Interim Chief Deputy Director and Managing Attorney of the agency.
Tammy received her J.D. (with honors) from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law and a B.A. from Hendrix College (with distinction).
I know Tammy’s ADEQ colleagues and the regulated community will miss her ability to facilitate progress and cooperation involving some complex regulatory programs.
