The Arkansas Environmental Federation (“AEF”) will be holding its annual Regulated Waste and Water Seminars on May 18th and 19th.
The seminars will be held in Little Rock, Arkansas at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
The Regulated Waste Seminar will be held on May 18th and address a variety of topics associated with solid and hazardous waste management, including:
- Environmental Pitfalls for Small Business
- RCRA Hot-Line Questions and Responses
- EPA Initiatives and Enforcement Actions
- Report from the ADEQ Director’s Office
- Hazardous Waste Identification
- LEAN and Other Efforts to Streamline Waste Programs
- Vector Control in Landfills, Transfer Stations Recycling Centers and Collection Points
- ADEQ Inspection Findings and Enforcement Actions
- Underground Storage Tank Rule
I will undertake a presentation titled “Solid and Hazardous Waste Developments from 2015-2016.”
The Water Seminar will be held on May 19th and address a variety of topics associated with the Clean Water Act including:
- ADEQ Water Division Overview
- NPDES Permit Application Basics
- ADEQ’s NPDES Permit Renewal Process
- NPDES Permit Requirements Overview
- Net DMR Update
- Report from the ADEQ Director’s Office
- ADEQ Water Inspections Overview
- Waters of the U.S. Rule
- Supreme Court Chesapeake Bay Decision
My law firm colleague Allan Gates will address the Arkansas Nutrient Trading Program.
The Seminars will include speakers both from ADEQ, the United States Environmental Protection Agency, industry consultants and environmental personnel.
