The Arkansas Environmental Federation (“AEF”) has scheduled both basic and advanced training for environmental health and safety professionals at its upcoming October 6th and 7th convention and tradeshow.
The AEF event will be held in Hot Springs, Arkansas at the Hot Springs Convention Center.
The morning of October 6th will include the following presentations/discussions:
- NPDES NetDMR Training, Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality Staff
- Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality Director Becky Keogh
- Keynote Address – Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge
The afternoon of October 6th will include five sets of sessions running from 12:45 to 3:45 which will simultaneously address an Air, Water, Regulated Waste and Safety & Health topic.
I will be reviewing the recently enacted amendments to the Toxic Substances Control Act during a Regulated Waste session.
Thursday afternoon will also include a presentation by Elizabeth McCormick. Ms. McCormick is an author and former Blackhawk Pilot.
Friday presentations will include:
- Issues Breakfast (C&H Hog Farms)
- Chief’s Roundtable
- Diamond Award Presentation
- Environmental Health & Safety Tax Issues
- EPA Regional Counsel
