The Arkansas Environmental Federation (“AEF”) will hold its 48th Annual Convention and Trade Show (“Convention”) on October 1st and 2nd in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
A Pre-Convention 21st Annual 4/Person Golf Scramble will be held on September 30th at the Cortez Golf Course in Hot Springs Village.
Technical sessions will include focuses on water, air, regulated waste and safety and health.
Issues addressed during the technical sessions will include topics such as Clean Water Act 404 permitting, waters of the United States, Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality e-portal demonstration, NAAQS sweeps and ozone update, regional haze, definition of solid waste and OSHA reporting/recordkeeping.
Damon Carson, who is the founder and President of repurposedMaterials, is scheduled to provide a keynote presentation. Further, three Arkansas legislators will address the new regulatory procedures of the Arkansas legislature and 4th Congressional District Congressman Bruce Westerman will also speak.
An additional keynote presentation will be provided by Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality Director Becky Keogh.
