Engaging in service and leadership activities with organizations central to providing charitable, social, educational or cultural enrichment, Mitchell Williams’ Take Time To Give program has incorporated more than 150 organizations throughout Arkansas and the region since its launch as a formal initiative six years ago. The firm lends support through financial contribution, pro bono services the thousands of volunteer hours our attorneys invest annually serving on boards and committees for numerous foundations and charitable events.
In 2010, the firm launched a new website dedicated to statewide nonprofits – www.TakeTimeToGive.com. 2011 Primary Charity: ACCESS Group, Inc.
The Little Rock nonprofit offers full-time education, therapy, training and activities for children and youths with developmental delays and learning disabilities. Founded in 1994, ACCESS offers families the latest in innovative therapy, education and evaluation for children with apraxia, autism, ADHD, dyslexia, feeding disorders, hearing and language impairments, reading disorders, sensory integration disorders and more. www.AccessGroupInc.org.
2010 Primary Charity: Our House Shelter
The Little Rock-based organization provides the working homeless (families and individuals) with safe, clean, comfortable housing, food, free child care, education (more than 20 different courses), and job training in order that they may return to independence and lead productive lives. www.OurHouseShelter.org
2009 Primary Charity: Arkansas Foodbank Network
Established in 1984, the Arkansas Foodbank Network procures and distributes food to more than 450 member agencies, including food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and after-school feeding programs, in 33 central and southern Arkansas counties. It is a member of Feeding America (formerly America’s Second Harvest), a Heart of Arkansas United Way and the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance. www.ArkansasFoodbank.org
